I am not a very adventurous person when it comes to food, therefore it would require alot of persuasion to get me to try something new. However, when McDonalds came to singapore with their seaweed shaker fries, I was hooked. I would purchase at least one pack of seaweed fries a day. Like me, many other singaporeans would also be upsizing their meal just for the seaweed fries.

Even though seaweed fries was such a hit, McDonalds decided to make it available for a limited time only. Therefore, I took it upon myself to hunt for the store with the best seaweed fries in Singapore so that I could continue eating it without having to wait for McDonalds.

And after browsing through google and going through the many forums, I decided to take a chance on this new place called:

It is store within bugis village that specialises in all sorts of taiwanese goodies. They have tofu fries, chicken cutlet and popcorn chicken just to name a few. You can even select the base ingredient that you want your dish to be cooked with!

Having to go through an ERP of $3 just to reach the store, I insisted on buying at least 3 packs of fries. And to my delight, they had such a wide array of flavours to choose from!

TIP: BRING A FRIEND! AS MORE PEOPLE = MORE FOOD

C and I decided to order 4 packs of fries, one packet of popcorn chicken and 2 drinks (upsized), and the bill came up to $19.30! But trust me, it was worth every cent!

We ordered Super Caramel Milk and Caramel Milk Tea with Grass Jelly, and my were we in for a surprise! If you think KOI and GONGCHA is the best that's out there, go and try one of TAIMEI's milk teas. It was so smooth and rich in flavour that it made koi's milk tea seem plain in comparison.

Then, with much anticipation, we decided to try the seaweed fries!

The hot and cripsy fries were simply irresistable! There was an overwhelming amount of seaweed seasoning put into the packet of fries, so every bite was simply heavenly. And for $2.50, this is the amount of fries you get:

Overall, my ratings out of 5 are:

Head down to I LOVE TAIMEI, and I can guarantee you wont be disappointed!

  1. Everybody LOVE seaweed fries! I didn’t know they’re available elsewhere in Singapore. This is really helpful for the Singaporeans whom feel abandoned after Mcd’s seaweed shaker fries offer has ended. Keep the food posts coming! (:

  3. Your pictures look yummy! You are such a seaweed fry- fanatic! You actually hunted down the place that sells them.

You have an engaging and personal writing style (just need to check the grammar...)

Remember the 'about the blog' section.

    Internal post links? Blogroll?

Your background theme suits the current post, but would be it relevant to your food theme?
